The Western Frontier Library Series is published by the University of Oklahoma Press. The opening volume in the series was The Vigilantes of Montana by Thomas Dimsdale which was published in 1953. The objective of the series is very comparable to The Lakeside Classics as the publisher selects eye-witness, narrative accounts of events taking place in the days of the early West. All of the volumes are in the same format in illustrated dust jackets. The series continues to be produced and currently (as of 2001) stands at 65 volumes. © 2001 Town's End Books Titles in The American Western Frontier Library Series Arranged alphabetically by title.
